Maybe we’re not so forward when it comes to shouting about our achievements, though – and it’s time we did!

The Northern Powerhouse [weren’t we always?] offers the northern regions the opportunity to flex their muscles and define their own path. Brexit, meanwhile, will change our nation’s course forever, and it’s up to us to play our part in keeping Britain shipshape – no matter what’s to come.

So it’s time we showed not what we can do but what we are doing to make a difference.
The Northern Housing Awards recognises the achievements of those who are doing just that, for their communities, for the North, for the country as a whole – it’s in our northern soul!

SHABANA BROUN

Commercial Director & Co-Founder
Before co-founding ukbe, Shabana enjoyed a career in retail and hospitality management spanning 12 years working for leading brands such as Selfridges, House of Fraser and JW Lees. A lover of all things family, a passionate supporter of diversity & inclusion in the work place and secretary of The Friends of Delamere Special School & Nursery Charity.
